Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino
3700 W. Flamingo Road
Las Vegas, NV 89103 |
 |
The Rio is an all-suites hotel on Flamingo Road, just off the Vegas strip. They do run shuttles to the strip hotels, but for maximum convenience, we suggest staying on site at The Rio. |
In addition to the usual heap of dining, gaming, shopping, and nightlife options on the premises, The Rio also has pools, a bowling alley, spa and salon, and access to golf courses. |
Special Discounts!
Get your Rio room for $90/night plus tax (comes to around $98/night total). Make sure that when you call 1-888-746-6955, you ask The Rio for the lowest rates they can give. Do NOT mention the conference or you'll get $129/night.
As our event starts first thing in the morning on 10 September 2008, we suggest that you arrive on 9 September. As hotel availability allows, The Rio is offering this rate for 3 nights before and after our event.

Special Needs
Our registration form will collect information on everybody who has special dietary needs or requires rental of a scooter. Our conference rooms are a bit of a walk, so we suggests scooters for anybody who tends to need a scooter should get one.
Weather and What To Wear
Daytime temperatures in Las Vegas in mid-September can be in the mid-90s Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius), but it's a dry heat (seriously). Please dress comfortably for warm outdoors and air conditiooned indoors.
This is not a fancy conference. You can leave your ties and high heels home! Shorts, t-shirts, and other casual clothing are all welcome. You may be walking a lot, so wear comfortable shoes. Please do not wear bathings suits to conference sessions. Bring lots of business cards (don't wear them).
Children
Neither The Rio nor our conference is set up to care for children. If you wish to bring your children, please make sure that you also bring someone who can watch them. Attendees must be at least 18 years old, and must be registered.
